It is crazy to think that two months ago I was working on the movie Believe Me. It is also amazes me how much I wish I was back there now. Who would have thought that running around and being in completely exhausted, would be something you would wish to go back to. But, for me it totally is and as the first movie I ever worked on it will forever be one of my favorite memories.
Besides the many memories that I made while working on the film, I also made a ton of new friends. People who are hugely talented and completely astound me with how amazing they are. One of these people is the more than fantastic Phillip Wolf.
The boy can act and rap. Yes, rap. In fact, he has an album that is out that is very impressive. Check it out, it’s called Philosophy 101. I was very honored to have been given a copy of the album to listen to and write a review. It has taken me a long time to get around to writing the review, but as you can see from the date on my last post I have been busy being an accounting graduate student. However, I decided that with the drop of his new music video my friend deserved to have the spotlight.
I will stay that this album is definitely worthy of it’s Parental Advisory sticker for Explicit Content. I won’t go into detail, instead I will let you decide for yourself how you feel about the explicit content. Personally, if I had not met him I would not have come across his music until he became a huge star (he is on his way), because rap is not my first choice of music. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy all types of music. But, like everyone I have the styles I generally gravitate to first.
Therefore, I am so glad that Phillip and I started talking about his music and that he thought enough of me to ask for a review. Because, I really liked Philosophy 101!!! It has a very smooth feeling to it that just allows you to drift and enjoy the music. Every song tells a story, that is part of the big picture that is the entire album. So, listen to the entire album if you chose to listen at all, because if you don’t you will lose the entire picture and miss out on the talent. Phillip has a very distinctive voice, that is going to become instantly recognizable both by sound and through his writing. Phillip has something to say and he has no problem getting out there and saying it.
Philosophy 101 is just the beginning for Phillip Wolf!! I think that we are just scratching surface of Phillip’s talents and the best is yet to come. So, get on board the fan train and find out where this guy is going, because I have a feeling it is to the top.
Check out Phillip’s new music video below and follow him on Twitter. Personally, this is one of my favorite songs on the album, so I was really excited to see the video. I think it is fantastic and I am so glad I became aware.
