With a 5:30 AM call time for actors and a 6:30 AM call time for the crew, Sunday morning came early to the set of “Believe Me.”
But no one really cared. It was the first day of shooting and everything was finally truly starting!
The energy in the building was so high it was palpable before you even walked in the doors. Equipment was set up, people were on the move, and the actors were in rehearsal. Life on set was good and everyone felt it. Even when a breaker flipped and cut electricity everyone stayed in a good mood and worked to fix the problem. Nothing was going to break the elation.

For, me Sunday was full of running errands and taking care of paper work. My first task that morning was to go to Home Depot to pick up hooks for the Honey Wagon (a truck the actors use on location for changing and for breaks). Then, when I got back I turned right around and went back to Home Depot to pick up some carabiners for water bottles.
I pull up every thing is going fine, I lock up the car and realize I need to get something out of the back put my key in to unlock the back door and it breaks. Yep, it just twists and almost snaps right off, though lucky it didn’t so it wasn’t stuck in the door. The next thing that is frustrating is the fact that this key is not the key to the doors it is the ignition key. I had grabbed the wrong key and tried to open the door with it. No wonder it broke.
So, I go inside frustrated I am having to deal with this, but thanking my lucky stars that if it had to break anywhere it had broken at Home Depot. I am directed to the key fabrication kiosk and show the guy my key. He looks at it and says well lets put it in the scanner and see it will read it so we can make a new key. He then goes on to tell me that there is a 1 in 50 chance that it will read. My reply; there was probably a 1 in 50 chance if not worse that I’d break the key that starts my car in the Home Depot parking lot, I would say that the odds may be in my favor. To my complete joy they were and in about 10 minutes I was on my way to pick up 50 carabiners as well as First Aid Kit that was added to my list via phone call. Then, after what seemed like an hour-long check out with the carabiners (self check out takes forever with 50 items, even small ones), I was back on my way to Riot Headquarters, which is also known as the Armory.
I then got to work on what needed to be done at Riot and then had an exhausting conversation with my parents dealing with insurance and what needed to happen when I took my truck in for servicing. Let’s just say it was not the best 30 minutes I have had (If you didn’t hear I was rear-ended.).
However, it was soon over and about an hour later I made the acquaintance of Christopher McDonald. I will tell you that is one funny and very charismatic guy! He is an awesome addition to the cast and just makes me more excited to see the finished product for this film. Seriously!! This cast is amazing!! You and everyone you know needs to be pumped for this movie, because it is going to be fantastic!! It is an awesome production and I am thrilled to be a part of it, and so blessed to be able to get to go see set!
My final task of the day was heading to Staples and HEB (yet again…) to pick up office supplies and etcetera. Once I was done with this and everything had been put away, I was off to enjoy the rest of my evening. Which meant I ate and fell asleep. Early 12 hour days will do that to you.
Fortunately, Monday’s are our days off in our shooting schedule so I was able to sleep in (by sleep in I mean I slept until 8:30). For my day off I cleaned; and took my truck to get it looked at and potentially serviced. Which means I am in a rental car for the next couple of days. Yay, fun new little car to drive! Boo, to the circumstances.
But check out what I am riding in…

I also got the chance to eat at Z Tejas Grill in Arboretum with Sarah. So, good and the patio is beautiful and so is the view!! I recommend it!!

So, after being able to catch up on some sleep, get some household chores done, and having eaten a wonderful meal, I am ready to see what tomorrow brings at the set of “Believe Me.” Be sure to check back to see what I am up to and what is going on at the set. You will not want to miss a thing, believe me.
