No Lying Games Here

Well day 3 at the Riot StudiosBelieve Me” Headquarters was crazy! Crazy fantastic!

My day started off early with making coffee and running to HEB to get coffee cups for the tech scout that was happening that morning. Once we got everyone off to the tech scout, I worked with the Production Coordinator and her Assistant on different worksheet updates as well as other tasks that needed to be done.

Then, before we knew it, it was lunch time and we were making calls to order sandwiches and sushi. I was given the task of going downtown to get the sushi, and for someone without a smart phone or GPS that is brave. Especially, since I didn’t have any idea where I was going when I walked out the door and drove away.  But, thanks to a little prayer on the way out the door and some directions over the phone I got there with absolutely no issues. Once, back at the offices the food was set up for the cast and crew and the feasting began.

While eating I had the chance to hang out with the actors and get to know them a little bit better. I talked the most with Sinqua Walls as the other two were having conversations with other people. It was fun to get to talk to a person who has played characters in shows that I have watched. One of my favorite shows currently is ABC’s Once Upon A Time, and Sinqua is Sir Lancelot. So cool!! It is totally awesome to be able to say that you have met and talked to someone who plays on one of your favorite TV shows.

It is also really fun to find out that one of the shows you enjoyed watching had scenes filmed int building you are working every day. While having to get chairs for lunch we had to got to another part of the building which to my surprise had this logo on the doors.

IMG_0648What show might you ask was based in Scottsdale Arizona? That would be ABC Families The Lying Game. The Lying Game was actually filmed in Austin, and our offices are part of the lots on which it was filmed. So fun!! So, while I am totally sad The Lying Game was not picked up for another season, it is still fun to look around and see what used to be the set of a TV show. In fact, while looking around I found these fun things.

Yep, an actual script (or at least part of one) and a colored logo! The Lying Game may not be in production anymore, but it is still fun to find stuff like this!!

No games being played, I don’t have lie about the fact that I am loving my internship!
